Subscriptions and refunds
Self-reviewed · last updated 2026-10-09. Written by us from what the app actually does; not reviewed by a lawyer.
Today the app is free and there is nothing to buy. This page explains what will always stay free and how purchases will work once paid plans start, so you know before you pay anything.
Always free
- SOS, for everyone, always — every way of starting it, texts on every SIM, the call ladder, contacts' alarms, and the SOS cloud service when it exists.
- The keyboard, typing in every supported language, suggestions and sentence completion.
- AI with your own AI provider key, without limits. You pay your provider directly; no purchase in the app is involved, and those charges are between you and the provider.
- AI on the phone's own model, Scam Shield, call notes and the post studio.
Planned paid plans
Paid features will be the ones that cost us money on a server: AI on our own service beyond the free trial, an AI voicemail and receptionist, longer storage of SOS evidence, the Premium badge and some connectors. Prices will be shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy, in Indian rupees, including taxes.
| Product | How it works |
|---|---|
| Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) | Renews automatically until you cancel; includes monthly AI credits |
| Credit packs | One-time purchases of AI credits for our AI service; not transferable and not exchangeable for cash |
| Free trial credits | One trial per verified phone number and device |
When credits run out nothing simply stops: you can buy more, switch to your own key, or use the model on your phone.
How you pay
All purchases go through Google Play billing (and Google's user-choice billing where it is offered in India). We never see your card or UPI details. Google's terms of service and refund rules apply alongside this page.
Cancelling a subscription
Open Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Rakshak and tap Cancel subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for; it then does not renew. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
- Within 48 hours of a purchase, you can ask Google for a refund in Google Play (Order history → Request a refund). Google decides these requests.
- After 48 hours, write to us at abshingate@exadatum.com with the Google Play order number (it starts with
GPA.). We refund through Google Play when a purchase did not work as described, was charged twice, or was made by mistake and not used, and we answer within 7 days. - Unused credits from a pack are refunded on the same basis if the pack was bought by mistake.
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used, as Google Play processes them.
Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
